This is what you come here for

  • Morning coffee outside.
  • Goats wandering past the deck.
  • A walk with nowhere you need to be.
  • A fire after sunset, burn ban permitting.
  • Stars you forgot existed.
  • A weekend that feels longer than a weekend.

The casita is where you sleep. This is the part you take home.

A different pace

Space to hear yourself think.

La Finca Retreat is three private casitas on ten acres of open country near Copperas Cove, twenty minutes from Fort Cavazos. Country quiet, without giving anything up: every casita has its own bathroom, a kitchen, running water, power, and Wi-Fi, plus a picnic table and a grill outside the door.

Nightly rates run from $200 for a single night down to $80 a night on stays of a month or more, cleaning fee included. There is no spa here and no schedule. There is land to walk, clean air, and after dark, no light pollution for miles.

Stay with confidence

Dates you can see before you ask.

The availability page reads the live booking calendars for all three casitas — Airbnb and Hipcamp both — so a date already taken on either one shows as taken here. No waiting on a reply to find out.

Airbnb stays the source of truth, and it is where you book — so when a date looks open here, you can go straight there and take it.

Meet the animals

Not an amenity. Part of the place.

A herd of goats lives on the land, and who is out there shifts through the year — kids are born, others move on to new pastures. The first ones were named: Axel, Rose, Cornelia, Barbara. After that the owners gave up. Whoever meets you at the fence will be curious enough to follow you around, and pellets are provided if you want to feed them. They are the reason a dog stays leashed here, and the reason kids stop looking at a screen.
