Know before you go
Answered plainly.
What the stay actually is, including what it is not — and where there is no answer yet, we say that instead of inventing one.
Is this off-grid? Is there power and Wi-Fi?
Yes to power and Wi-Fi. La Finca is quiet country land, not an off-grid cabin: every casita has electricity, running water, a private bathroom, a kitchen, and Wi-Fi. The quiet comes from where you are, not from what has been taken away.
What is in each casita?
A private bathroom, a kitchen, running water, electricity, and Wi-Fi, plus a picnic table and a grill outside. Casita 1 is the largest and has two floors; Casitas 2 and 3 are the two newer ones and share the same layout.
What does it cost?
Nightly rates run from $200 for a single night down to $80 a night on stays of a month or more, cleaning fee included. Book through the Airbnb listing for the exact rate on your dates.
Can I bring a pet?
Pets are welcome for a pet fee. There are goats living on the land, so dogs stay leashed or supervised and are never loose on the property.
Can guests interact with the animals?
Yes, and feeding them is part of it rather than a paid add-on. Goat pellets are provided. Goats cannot eat everything, so the house manual lists what is safe — please stick to that list.
Can I come for the day without staying over?
No — La Finca is for overnight guests only, which is what keeps it quiet for the people staying. Guests staying with us may have up to two visitors during their stay. Beyond that the land stays for the people booked in, which is what keeps it quiet.
Can children stay?
Yes. Children of any age are welcome, with an adult keeping an eye on them the whole time. The ground is rocky and the casita decks sit high with wide-spaced railings. Casita 1 is the one built for a family; the studios suit a couple plus one. Casita 1 puts its extra guests in a loft reached by outdoor stairs or an indoor ladder, with a low ceiling on one side, so pick that one deliberately rather than by accident.
Is there a spa, sauna, or hot tub?
No. There are no spa amenities here, and we would rather say so than let you find out on arrival. What there is: open land to walk, clean air, goats, and a night sky with no light pollution for miles.
How do reservations work?
Check the live availability page for open dates, then book the casita on Airbnb. Every reservation runs through Airbnb — there is no separate checkout and no inquiry form to wait on.
Can we use the fire pit and the grill?
The fire pit is yours to use. Burn bans change through the year, so check first with Coryell County fire dispatch on (254) 865-7201, option 1. The grills run on gas and the tank is provided.
